Brick Fact 1

The name LEGO originated from the Danish term Le Godt. This means play well. What they did not know at the time was that "Lego" could be interpreted as "I build" in Latin.

Brick Fact 2

Lego started out with wooden toys, such as ducks or cars. It was not until later until they became the plastic bricks we knew and love today!

Brick Fact 3

Lego's motto is "Only the best is good enough." Thats "det bedste er ikke for godt" in Danish (The best isn't excessively good).

Brick Fact 4

In February 2015, Lego overthrew Ferrari's position as "worlds most powerful brand".

Brick Fact 5

Lego has sued many companies for attempting to copy their brick design. Some companies have found loopholes to this, and are basically untouchable to Lego.
